Vibration Dampers
The vibration damper is a device that absorbs the vibrations generated by the driving shaft. It is widely used in motorcars to prevent any discomfort, damage and failure due to vibrations.
It usually serves as a guide pulley for PV belts and to strengthen the auxiliary components (water pump, power steering, compressor, etc.).
Additional information
The damper should be replaced when the rubber absorbing element is too worn to reduce the vibrations. It is recommended to check the damper rubber ring for rigidity (check that the rubber aging does not cause excessive hardening, crystallization or cracks).
