Dayco has an exciting job opportunity for you to work as a Quality Manager in Williston, SC. The Quality Manager is a highly visible, impactful role that would have you consistently walking the plant floor to monitor and improve the quality of the production process. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Plant Quality Systems that meet customer and corporate requirements. You will actively support the plant vision of a lean manufacturing organization, with lean measurements being the measure of success. As a Quality Manager, you will oversee a team of 7 Quality Analysts, serving as the management representative responsible for coordinating continuous maintenance of the TS 16949 system.


Your additional responsibilities as a Quality Manager will include:

  • Maintaining an approved Plant Quality System that meets TS 16949, plant and corporate requirements
  • Assuring purchased materials and manufactured parts meet established specifications and quality standards
  • Reporting monthly measurements after reconciling with customers to the Director of Operations and plant management team
  • Participating in advanced product quality planning, or APQP (Dayco’s Six Step), supporting a cross-functional team with product and process validation
  • Advising and informing plant and corporate management of significant quality concerns, customer trends, and awards
  • Supporting manufacturing through testing, auditing, and studies to achieve high quality at low costs
  • Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining effective internal quality audits
  • Administering corrective action for external and internal problems and communicating resolutions to customers and appropriate Dayco personnel
  • Administering an effective calibration process and repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) studies meeting measurement systems analysis (MSA) requirements
  • Supporting customers, sales and engineering by maintaining an effective sample and production part approval process (PPAP)
  • Administering the product/process change notification (PCN) and deviation procedures to ensure products are produced to approved specifications
  • Evaluating and approving sub-contractors from a quality requirement perspective
  • Reporting quality measurements in Quality Operating System (QOS) meetings
  • Defining and budgeting Quality Assurance requirements


Required Qualifications for the Quality Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Auditing experience is a plus
