Dayco has an exciting job opportunity for you to work as an Inventory Manager in Memphis, TN. As an Inventory Manager, you will be instrumental in driving improvements to achieve the highest possible level of customer service while meeting plant and corporate inventory objectives. In this role, you will be accountable for the acquisition, storage, and internal flow of all material associated with the operation of our Memphis distribution center. As an Inventory Manager, you will help lead new MRP and ERP system implementations and coordinate the introduction of new products and material changes.


Your additional responsibilities as an Inventory Manager will include:

  • Maintaining plant inventory (units and dollars) at budgeted levels
  • Driving the Inventory Health Process (IHP) and developing actions to achieve business objectives
  • Participating in daily plant management meetings to report on inventory data and potential customer satisfaction issues as it pertains to inventory levels
  • Daily reporting on inventory levels and incoming and outgoing materials
  • Developing the daily production schedule
  • Overseeing our raw materials warehouse and inventory to ensure adequate and proper materials are available to issue for production schedules
  • Managing the Inventory Control team to ensure they are meeting their key performance indicators


Required Qualifications for the Inventory Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field
  • 5+ years of inventory management or inventory planning experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with formulas
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of inventory management practices and systems design
  • Working knowledge of traffic and freight functions
  • Strong knowledge of budget preparation and accounting principals
  • Strong communication skills


Preferred Qualifications for the Inventory Manager:

  • Certification through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)
  • Automotive aftermarket industry experience
  • Team player and ability to think outside the box
