EHS Specialist Responsibilities

• Apply and enforce the code of safe practices with all employees
• Monitor team members day to day activities as it relates to the safety compliance
• Work with HR to assist in Safety training of new employees
• Enforce preventive measures and conduct safety audits
• Conduct accident/injury investigations and illness exposure monitoring
• Prepare reports on accidents and violations
• Conduct risk assessments
• Perform job hazards analyses and provide recommendations to reduce or eliminate hazards
• Conduct safety and health walk through inspections
• Conduct training and certification of motorized equipment
• Ensure periodic inspections of motorized equipment
• Conduct safety meetings in order to access and inform team members of safety policies and procedures
• Maintain proper paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
• Monitor warehouse safety supplies and other required stock

EHS Requirements

• 3 plus years of EHS experience (warehouse environment preferred
• OSHA certification
• First Aid/ CPR certified

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Able to work in environment that is not climate controlled
• Able to work flexible hours
