Dayco engineers crankshaft dampers, camshaft dampers and isolators to reduce NVH. Our manufacturing breadth includes the full range of injection-molded and vulcanized elastomeric methods, plus technologically advanced and durable damped-spring isolators and clutches. Our most recent innovative DDOS (damping, decoupling, over-running system) offers multiple damping functions in a single device. Designed to include a traditional damper that reduces crankshaft twisting from engine firing pulses, it also features a spring isolator for the accessory drive for smooth power transmission, and an enhanced feature of over-running clutch, which allows limited slip during severe torsional dynamics, such as engine deceleration. All of these features work together in a single product to eliminate objectionable noise and to prevent belt-jump.
